COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Georgia College & State
University women's hoops team (2-2) dropped their second loss of
the season tonight to undefeated Carson-Newman College (5-0) 71-60
at the Jack Hughston Classic, hosted by Columbus State University.

Dudish (Snellville, Ga.) led Georgia College with 12
points hitting four three-pointers. The junior guard scored in
double digits for the second time this season, and also had three
boards and one assist for the game. Sophomore Tammeisha Law
(Athens, Ga.) scored double-digits for the second game in
a row, scoring 10 and grabbing five rebounds, all on the defensive
end. Law was 6-of-6 from the charity stripe.
Senior guard Shandrea Moore (Ft.
Lauderdale, Fla.) and junior guard Dominique Huffin
(Tucker, Ga.) aided the Bobcats with nine points each, the
latter chipping in a team-best six boards. Senior post player

(Orlando, Fla.) returned after sitting out for two games
due to injury with eight points and two rebounds. The assist
leader for the 'Cats went to Chimere Jordan
(Gray, Ga.) as she had four dimes and scored six points.
Carson-Newman countered Georgia College's scoring efforts as the
Eagles had four players in double-digits. Mandy Mendenhall led all
scorers on the night with 20. Teammates Shari Buford, Candis Clark
and Zoriah William were right behind Mendenhall with 16, 14 and 12
respectively.
The Bobcats were outrebounded 42-35 giving up 29 defensive
boards to Carson-Newman. The Eagles shot .458 (27-59) from the
floor to Georgia College's .313 (20-64).
Georgia College looks to rebound Saturday, Nov. 28 at 2 p.m.
against Tusculum College in the final day of the two-day
tournament.
