Box Score DAHLONEGA, Ga. – An amazing second-half comeback and some career-best performances weren't enough, as the Georgia College women's basketball team (5-5, 1-2 PBC) fell 92-91 Saturday at the University of North Georgia (10-2, 2-1 PBC) in overtime at the buzzer.
Down 91-90 with 10 seconds left, Jordan Livesay missed a three-point shot, but got her own rebound and knocked down the put-back for the 92-91 final.
Senior Enisha Donley (Loganville) scored a career-best 28 points, including 19 after halftime. The guard took over at points in the game, and finished 10-for-20 from the field. It was Donley's 16th 20-point game of her career, and her second this season.
Classmate Shanteona Keys (Roswell) added 23 points, including 11-for-14 from the free-throw line. It was Keys' third 20-point game this season, and her 26th overall.
Sophomore guard LaRice Walker (Franklin) added a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double, the first of her career. Junior Kadesha Gibbs (Claremont, North Carolina) had 10 points, a Bobcat-career high for the junior college transfer.
The Bobcats out-shot North Georgia slightly at 45 percent (30-67) to 43 percent (32-74) from the floor, adding a single-rebound advantage (45-44). The Nighthawks doubled up the three-point makes to get the difference, 8-4.
Stephanie Huffman made a bid for triple-double status, netting 23 points, with 15 rebounds and six assists. All five Nighthawk starters scored in double figures.
North Georgia's lead reached a high of 15 points at 73-58 with 7:38 left in the second half. The Bobcats chipped away to tie it up at 81-81 on a pair of Donley free throws with 33 seconds left.
Donley's 28th point gave the senior 1,097 in her career, passing Allison Barry (1988-92) for 14th place in the school scoring list.
The Bobcats are back in action Monday, Jan. 5 at 5:30 p.m., traveling to Georgia Southwestern State University.
