#11 Men's Tennis Defeated by #9 West Florida, 8-1

PENSACOLA, Fla. – No. 11 Georgia College Men's Tennis (8-5) fell to No. 9 University of West Florida (15-1), 8-1 Tuesday. Christian Graff (Lohmar, Germany) continued his winning ways as he brought in the sole Bobcat point of the day in the No. 1 singles spot.

Georgia College dropped all doubles matches against the Argonauts. In the first flight, Graff and Kyle Kinsler (Suwanee) were defeated by the No. 1 doubles team in the nation, Alex Peyrot and Pedro Dumont, 8-5. Pedro Ecenarro (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) and Mattia Campus (Concorrezzo, Italy) lost an extremely close match to Gabriel Dias and Pedro Roese, 9-8. UWF got their doubles sweep as Warren Kuhn and Alfonso Castellano topped Anton Waern (Taby, Sweden) and Nathan Connelly (McDonough, Georgia) in the third line, 8-3.

Graff got a thrilling win the first line of singles for the Bobcats. The GC graduate student slammed through the first set, 6-3, but the Argonaut came back to win the second set 7-6. Graff came back to win the 10-point tiebreaker, 10-5.

Ecenarro battled hard, but dropped to No. 37 Peyrot. The Bobcat fell 6-3, 6-2 in the second singles spot. Waern was also close to Kuhn in the third line, but the Argonaut came out on top 6-3, 6-3. Kinsler dropped his match in the fourth spot after a pair of 6-1 sets against Sebastian Sanchez. Connelly also lost in the sixth flight against Douglas Boe after a couple of hard 6-0 losses.

The Bobcats host No. 3 Armstrong State University Friday, March 24, at 1 p.m. The No. 31 Flagler College Saints will also be traveling up to Milledgeville for a Sunday morning match against the Bobcats.
