FLORENCE, S.C. – In a second-straight come-from-behind effort, the Georgia College Men's Basketball team (8-9, 5-4 PBC) topped Francis Marion University (3-13, 2-7 PBC) 66-58 Wednesday on the road. The win gives the Bobcats three victories in a row.

GC was led by 19 points from Jordan Thomas (Conyers, Georgia) as the junior guard hit four shots from long range. Sophomore forward Chris Parks (Buford, Georgia) had 15 points and six rebounds, while junior Justin Cave (Savannah, Georgia) added 13, including four threes of his own.

The Bobcats trailed by as much as 10 at 30-20 at the 3:02 mark left in the first half. GC surged from there with an 11-0 run to finish the half, getting threes from Cave, Christian Koneman (Chatsworth, Georgia) and Thomas.

The teams traded buckets for much of the second half, but a 9-2 run for GC started with seven minutes left and provided just enough cushion to close it out. Koneman finished with nine points, all from beyond the arc.

GC hit 11 threes on the night, part of what made up for getting out-shot 38 percent to 49 percent overall from the floor. The Bobcats also won the rebounding battle 33-31 and caused 16 turnovers while coughing it up just six times.

The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Jan. 25 at 3:30 p.m. playing host to Augusta University (11-6, 6-3 PBC). The Jaguars most recently beat the University of North Georgia at home tonight 83-58.
