Box Score JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The Georgia College Women's Basketball Team (1-2) lost at Edward Waters College (5-0) Wednesday, 78-51.
The Tigers took the early lead and never let go as they won the first quarter by a 20-point margin. The Bobcats had double-digit points in every quarter except the first where they scored nine. GC countered their single digit first quarter as they out scored Edward Waters 13-10 going into halftime.
Junior guard Harper Vick (Marietta, Georgia) led the offense with 12 points scoring all of her points inside the arc. Vick added a pair of assists and rebounds to her boxscore.
The next leading scorer was freshman Alexa Geary (Calhoun, Georgia) netting nine on the night. All of Geary's points came from outside the arc as she went 3-for-8. She also had three rebounds all coming off of the Bobcat basket.
Three Bobcats tied for the most rebounds with five. The lone senior Cassidy Markle (Cumming, Georgia) not only had five rebounds but she was the third-leading scorer netting six. Savannah Casey (Canton, Georgia) recorded all five of her rebounds on the defensive side of the ball. Freshman starter Ashiya Willis (Gainesville, Georgia) had four of her five rebounds under the Tiger basket. She also added four assists to her name.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Nov. 20 at No. 15 Valdosta State University. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. with live stats and video available at GCBobcats.com.
