Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The Georgia College Women's Basketball Team (2-4) took a 63-49 loss on the road at Auburn University at Montgomery (3-1) Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats took the early lead in the first quarter, outscoring the Warhawks 14-9. GC held the lead into halftime, up 26-24. The War Eagles pulled away in the fourth quarter to claim the win.
Veteran guard Harper Vick (Marietta, Georgia) led the offense with 17 points to tie her season high. She added four rebounds to her box score.
The second leading scorer was the rookie guard Ashyia Willis (Gainesville, Georgia) as she netted nine points. Willis nabbed five rebounds.
GC's lone senior Cassidy Markle (Cumming, Georgia) led both squads in rebounds with nine, a season high. Markle tied with Willis for points netted with nine. She made her presence known on the defensive side blocking two shots.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Dec. 1 for the Bobcats' home opener against Edward Waters College. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. in the Centennial Center. Live stats and video will be available at GCBobcats.com.
