Box Score YOUNG HARRIS, Ga.- The Georgia College Women's Basketball Team (1-11, 1-11 PBC) took a hard-fought road loss at Young Harris College (4-6, 4-6 PBC), 76-59 Wednesday night.
The Bobcat offense produced two double digit scorers in junior Harper Vick (Marietta) and freshman Jada Warren (Norcross). Vick netted 19 points, adding seven rebounds. Warren banked a career high of 12 points going 5-for-9 from field goal range. She also led the team with eight boards. The Bobcats were edged in the overall rebounding battle 46-44, but had more offensive caroms than Young Harris at 16-11.
GC was able to tie the game at the end of the first quarter with a three-point play from Christen Copeland (Gainesville). The Bobcats were able to keep it at a single digit deficit up until the third quarter. Copeland finished with eight points.
Overall, GC played a clean game having significantly less fouls than the Mountain Lions at 23-13 and taking the lead in bench points at 18-12.
