MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- The Georgia College Women's Basketball Team (5-9, 2-3 PBC) took a tough loss in the Centennial Center against USC Aiken (5-7,1-3 PBC) 58-35, Wednesday.
The Bobcats opened the contest with a two point basket from Harper Vick (Marietta) to take the early lead. Vick and fellow junior Cassidy Markle (Cumming) led the scoring for the first half with three points apiece. The Bobcats went into halftime trailing 30-10.
GC came out of the half netting 15 points in the third, by far their best quarter. Alexa Geary (Calhoun) led the charge banking five points.
The scoring leader of the contest for the Bobcats was Geary, netting eight points. She also nabbed five rebounds on the night.
The leading rebounder was the big freshman post Jada Warren (Norcross) corralling 14 rebounds, eight of which came from the defensive basket.
The Bobcats are back in action at the Centennial Center Saturday, Jan. 15 to take on No. 11 University of North Georgia. Tip off is set for 1:30 p.m. with live stats and video links available at GCBobcats.com.
