MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University Women's Basketball team (5-0) won each of the four quarters en route to a 67-54 victory over Shorter University Tuesday at the Centennial Center.

Senior guard Harper Vick (Marietta) exploded for 22 points, the first 20-point game for GCSU this season. She hit 10-for-21 from the floor and added seven rebounds to the cause.

Sophomore Alexa Geary (Calhoun) added 18 points and classmate Ashyia Willis (Gainesville) 12. Both Bobcats have netted double-digits in each of the five games this season.

As has been the case all season, the Bobcats dominated the rebounding margin, pulling in 56 to just 37 for the Hawks. GCSU's leaders on the glass were senior Cassidy Markle (Cumming) with 11, sophomore Jada Warren (Norcross) with nine and sophomore Rose Bone (Monroe) with eight.

The Bobcats controlled nearly every stat category, getting big wins in points in the paint, 44-20 and second-chance points, 17-7.

Vick's point total gives the senior 1,116 in her career, good for No. 15 in school history, in tonight's action she passed both Allison Barry (1992) and Chimere Jordan (2011).

The Bobcats are the lone 5-0 team in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC). No. 12 University of North Georgia has the chance to tie GCSU if the 4-0 Nighthawks win at the University of Montevallo later Tuesday night.

The five wins are the most to start a season since 2013-14, when the Bobcats went 10-0 to start.

The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Nov. 26 at 6 p.m., traveling to the YHC Classic at Young Harris College to battle Emory & Henry College.
