Bobcat Women Take Weekend Road Loss at Clayton State, 74-60

MORROW, Ga.- The Georgia College Women's Basketball Team (8-15, 5-11 PBC) took the tough 74-60 road loss against Clayton State University (14-10, 8-8 PBC), Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcat offense had four double-digit scorers in Ashyia Willis (Gainesville), Savannah Casey (Canton), Harper Vick (Marietta) and Alexa Geary (Calhoun). Freshman guard Willis led the offense, netting 15 points going 5-for-5 from the free throw line. Both Vick and Casey netted 11 points a piece. Vick went 4-for-4 from the free-throw stripe with four rebounds. Casey netted five field goals including a three-point bucket and pulled in six rebounds. Geary banked 10 points going 4-for-4 from the stripe and had the second-most rebounds with seven. 

Jada Warren (Norcross) led the Bobcats with nine rebounds and accounted for half of the defense's blocked shots with two. She also knocked in six points including 4-for-6 from the charity stripe. 

GC scored 15 points in every quarter of the contest to bring the final tally to 60. Vick led the first quarter scoring with five points, with Casey and Willis netting four each. Willis led the charge in the second with eight points, as going into the half, GC trailed just 37-30.

Bobcats continued on their 15 points per quarter streak with the freshman Casey netting five points to lead the squad in the third. Seven of the final 15 points came off the hand of Geary as she netted seven of her 10 points in that final quarter. The Bobcats ended up failing to the Lakers, 74-60.
