Both teams had trouble finding the mark, Augusta shooting 34 percent (18-53) and GCSU managing just 25 percent (16-65) from the floor. The point total was the lowest for the Bobcats this season, but the 47 points allowed was the third best for the defense.

Geary was flanked by eight points from junior Dashaun Jackson (Miramar, Florida) and a six-point, seven-rebound effort from senior Cassidy Markle (Cumming). Sophomore Jada Warren (Norcross) led the rebounding effort with 13, one off her personal best.
The Jaguars started strong, netting the first seven points of the game and leading 17-6 at the end of the first. GCSU flipped it with a 13-4 win of the second quarter, putting the Jaguar lead at just two at halftime. Augusta won it down the stretch, sealing it with a 4-for-4 effort from the free-throw line in the final 36 seconds.
The loss gives Augusta a 41-36 advantage in the all-time series, one of the longest in program history. It also snaps a two-game win streak for GCSU against the Jaguars.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Jan. 7 at 1:30 p.m., hosting to No. 14 Georgia Southwestern State University.
