GREENWOOD, Ind. | Georgia College & State University had six scholar-athletes -
Emily Agi,
Tessa Balsman,
Mackenzly Cheely,
Sarah King,
Sarah Mason, and
Savannah Sause - named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Divsion II Women's Soccer Academic All-District® Team.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and must be a have either played in 90 percent or started in 66 percent of their team's matches.
It is the second consecutive Academic All-District honor for Agi and King.
Agi, a sophomore defender from Brooks, Georgia, started 14 of 18 matches played. Agi had one assist and helped the Bobcats to seven shutouts during the 2025 campaign. Agi has a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average as a mass communication major with a minor in marketing.
Balsman, a sophomore midfielder from Norcross, Georgia, started seven of the 18 matches played. She scored one goal that was also a game-winner in a 4-0 victory over Clayton State University. Balsman has a 3.60 GPA as a nursing major.
Cheely, a junior midfielder from Brooks, Georgia, started 12 of the 17 games she played in 2025. She had one goal and one assist during the season. Her goal was a game winner against Valdosta State University. Cheely has a 3.95 GPA as an elementary education major.
King, a junior midfielder from Stockbridge, Georgia, played in 18 matches, starting 13. King had two goals and added an assist for the Bobcats with a game winner against Georgia Southwestern State University. King has a 3.85 GPA as a public administration major.
Mason, a senior forward from Atlanta, Georgia, started all 18 matches. Mason led the Bobcats in goals (4), assists (4) and points (12) in 2025. The All-Peach Belt Conference second team performer scored twice, including the game winner, against Middle Georgia State University. Mason has a 3.61 GPA as an exercise science major.
Sause, a sophomore defender from Loganville, Georgia, started 16 of the 18 matches. Sause had one assist and helped the Bobcats to seven clean sheets during the campaign. Sause has a 3.73 GPA as an undeclared major in the nursing track.
The Bobcats completed the 2025 season with a 7-7-4 ledger and a fourth-place finish in the Peach Belt.
