AUGUSTA, Ga. | The Peach Belt Conference preseason coaches poll for men's tennis has been released.
Georgia College & State University has been picked to finish fifth in the league.
Flagler College, which won both the PBC regular season and tournament titles in 2025, received five first-place votes and 35 total points, while Columbus State University picked up the other two first-place votes and came in second place with 30 points.
The University of North Georgia was third in the poll with 28 points and was followed by Lander University (21), GCSU (12), Augusta (11) and Middle Georgia State University (10).
The Bobcats, who return five players from last year's 13-6 team that was ranked 34th in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II poll.
Chase Martin, who is a graduate student from Tampa, Florida, was named to preseason all-conference team. Martin was named to the All-PBC first team in singles last season and was named to the second team in doubles. Martin, who is ranked eighth regionally in singles this year, posted a 10-7 ledger in singles and a 12-4 mark in doubles in 2025.
GCSU opens its 2026 season at the Centennial Center Tennis Courts Feb. 6 with a noon contest against Tuskegee University.
