KANSAS CITY, Mo. | The Georgia College & State University women's soccer team moved up to No. 6 in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings.

It is the third consecutive week that the Bobcats have been in regional rankings by the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches in partnership with the United Soccer Coaches (formerly the National Soccer Coaches Association of America) after sitting at No. 9 the past two weeks.

GCSU is one of four Peach Belt Conference teams listed in the regional poll. Columbus State University is ranked second followed by the University of North Georgia at No. 3 and Lander University at No. 4.

The Bobcats (6-2-2) are currently on an seven-match unbeaten streak. GCSU wil travel to Aiken, South Carolina, Wednesday (Oct. 7) for a 7 p.m.  Peach Belt Conference match against the University of South Carolina-Aiken. The Bobcats are off to their second-ever 4-0-0 start in league play in program history, joining the 2010 team. The seven-match unbeaten streak is tied for third-best in program history along with the 2007 team. Only the 2025 team (eight) and 2008 teams (13) had longer streaks.

The United Soccer Coaches poll is for publicity purposes only and is not used in the selection process for the NCAA Division II postseason.
