Tessa Balsman has been named the Zaxbys Player of the Week.
Balsman, a junior from Norcross, Georgia, scored the match-winning goal in the Bobcats' 1-0 Peach Belt Conference victory at the University of South Carolina-Beaufort Saturday (Sept. 26).
GCSU (5-2-1 overall, 3-0-0 Peach Belt), which is on a five-match unbeaten streak, returns to action Wednesday (Sept. 30) at 4:30 p.m. when they travel to Hartsville, South Carolina, for a non-conference match against Coker University.
