KANSAS CITY, Mo. | The Georgia College & State University women's soccer team entered the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings at No. 9.

It is the first regional ranking by the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches in partnership with the United Soccer Coaches (formerly the National Soccer Coaches Association of America) since last October when the Bobcats were ranked 10th in the region. It is only the second time GCSU has been regionally ranked since the 2018 season.

GCSU is one of four Peach Belt Conference teams listed in the regional poll. Lander University is ranked second followed by the University of North Georgia at No. 3 and Columbus State University at No. 4.

The Bobcats (4-2-0) are currently on an three-match winning streak. GCSU wil travel to Jefferson City, Tennessee, Wednesday (Sept. 23) for 5 p.m.  match against Carson-Newman University (4-3-0), which is ranked No. 10 in the region.

The United Soccer Coaches poll is for publicity purposes only and is not used in the selection process for the NCAA Division II postseason.
