MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. -Junior Ally Treat (Fayetteville, Ga.) found the net off a broken play with less than 30 minutes left in the second half, recording her first goal of the season and giving the Georgia College & State University soccer team (8-5-3, 4-1-2 PBC) a tough 1-0 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) victory over UNC Pembroke (8-6-1, 3-4-1 PBC). The victory was the Bobcats' third in a row.

An All-PBC midfielder in 2008, Treat slammed one past UNCP goalkeeper Rea Segoviano after moving around a defender with 29:49 left in the second half, taking the lead in a tight back-and-forth contest and putting pressure on the Braves to respond. Instead, it was the Bobcats who put the clamps down on the nation's 22^nd ranked scoring offense, allowing just three shots after the goal in holding off UNCP for Georgia College's eighth shutout of the year.

GCSU's Mary Rob Plunkett (Augusta, Ga.), the reigning PBC Goalkeeper of the Week, made five saves and now has four shutouts on the season. She has held opponents scoreless for the last 341:11. Segoviano made two stops in three tries.

The Bobcats now have 14 points on their 4-1-2 conference mark, and could be as high as fourth and no lower than fifth in the PBC Standings after tonight's action.

Georgia College returns to action Saturday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m., hosting No. 3 Columbus State University (13-0-1, 6-0 PBC). The Cougars play North Georgia tonight.
