Box Score

By Molly Johnson, Sports Information Assistant

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women's soccer team (3-8-1, 1-6 PBC) stepped out on Bobcat Field Saturday for a Peach Belt Conference matchup against UNC Pembroke (8-3-1, 5-2PBC). The Bobcats held the Braves scoreless in the first half but dropped the match 1-0.

The Bobcats began the match playing with a focus defense, holding the Braves to seven shots for the half. Unfortunately the Bobcats could not maintain their first half energy and allowed the first and only goal of the match in the 51st minute. Rae-Shawna Campbell received a quick pass from Courtney Crump that she tapped in passed the goalkeeper Annie Stephens (Fayetteville). Campbell now has seven goals for the season, making her the leading scorer for the Braves.

Stephens nabbed five saves putting her career total at 198. She currently holds the third spot for Georgia College's All-Time saves list but is closing in on second place. The second place spot is held by Michelle Parr (2004-05) with 210.

The Bobcats will travel to take on Lenoir-Rhyne University Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m.
