TUCSON, Ariz. – Collegiate Baseball Newspaper released its second round of the Division II National Poll Monday, with Georgia College (8-1) debuting at the No. 8 slot.
The Bobcats have been strong this season and the newspaper has taken notice. An 8-1 start for GC, including a 4-1 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) record and two wins over nationally-ranked teams make for a strong resume.
GC Baseball is tops among the three PBC schools on the list. The University of North Georgia comes in at No. 20, while Columbus State University owns No. 23. The top slot belongs to North Greenville University at 13-2-1.
GC makes an appearance in this list after not taking a spot in the publication's preseason poll.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 4 p.m., taking on No. 14 University of Mount Olive in Lexington, South Carolina at Lexington County Baseball Stadium.
