MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Volleyball squad (6-11, 1-3 PBC) fell in three sets to Peach Belt Conference (PBC) leader Flagler College (9-3, 3-0 PBC) Saturday at the Centennial Center.
The first set was a tight one, both teams hitting extremely well in a back-and-forth frame. The Bobcats had it tied up at 21-21 and 22-22, but Flagler edged away for a 25-22 final. Set two was another close one, going 25-20 and the Saints finished it off with another close 25-23 finale.
Freshman Ally Hall (Cumming) led the attack, tallying a 10-point, 10-dig double-double, her fifth of the season. Graduate student Sarah Stewart (Savannah) added nine kills, ending her streak of three-straight with double-digit kills.
Senior setter Lauren Talele (Woodstock) posted 25 assists to run the offense, junior Emily Long (Mooresville, North Carolina) pulled in a game-high 15 digs.
In today's contest, senior Sarah Mangan (Farmingville, New York) eclipsed the 200-block plateau in today's effort, just the fourth in school history to do so.
The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 4:30 p.m., traveling to Queens University.
