GREENWOOD, In.- Georgia College & State University Soccer (5-8-3, 4-4-2 PBC) adds six student-athletes to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Three of the six players named to the All-District Team from GCSU are seniors who just concluded their careers as a Bobcat. The first senior tabbed was the senior goalkeeper Kate Richardson (Marietta, Georgia). Throughout the 2022 season, Richardson led the Bobcats on and off the field, nabbing a Second Team All-Conference spot while maintaining a cumulative 4.0 GPA as a marketing major.
The next senior is midfielder Summer Ligon (Carrollton, Georgia). This season Ligon also picked up a Second Team-All Conference spot while maintaining a cumulative 3.96 GPA while majoring in economics.
Defender Haley Titus (Savannah, Georgia) is the third senior for the Bobcats named to the All-District Team. Titus has had an impressive career as a Bobcat while maintaining a cumulative 3.71 GPA in exercise science.
To round out the list, GCSU added a junior and two sophomores to the list as well. Defender Katherine Crouse (Southington, Connecticut) was the lone junior named from the blue and green. Crouse wrapped up her second season with the Bobcats as she added this honor to an already impressive career while maintaining a cumulative 4.0 GPA in management.
Defender Sydney Charles (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) was the first sophomore named to the list from GCSU. Charles has already made her mark in her young career as a Bobcat by maintaining a cumulative 4.0 GPA in marketing.
Finally, Aralyn Everett (Convington, Georgia) rounds out the 2022 CSC Academic All-District team for GCSU. Everett had an impressive postseason performance for the Bobcats as she was involved with both goals in the quarterfinal game. While she has stood out on the soccer field, she has also stood out in the classroom by having a cumulative 3.72 GPA as a double major in criminal justice and philosophy.
As a proud recipient of the 2021 PBC Sportsmanship Institution of the Year, the Georgia College Department of Athletics sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
