AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University has earned the No. 4 seed in the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Women's Tennis Tournament that will be held in Columbus, Georgia, this weekend.
The No. 36-ranked Bobcats (14-5 overall, 3-3 PBC) earned the fourth seed and will face No. 5 seed Augusta University (13-6, 2-4) - in a noon first round match Friday (April 25) at the John W. Walden Tennis Center. GCSU defeated the No. 44 Jaguars 4-3 last month in Milledgeville.
The winner of the GCSU-Augusta match will face the top seed University of North Georgia (16-7, 5-1), which is ranked No. 4 nationally, in Saturday's (April 26) 1 p.m. semifinal match.
In the other half of the bracket, No. 3 seed Columbus State University (13-5, 5-1) will face No. 6 Lander University (11-9, 1-5) while No. 2 seed Flagler College (18-4, 5-1) will face No. 7 Georgia Southwestern State University (3-9, 1-6) in 3 p.m. first round matches Friday (April 25). Flagler is ranked fifth nationally, while Columbus State is ranked 10th. The winners of those two matches will face off in the other 1 p.m. semifinal match Saturday (April 26).
The championship match of the single-elimination tournament will be at 1 p.m. Sunday (April 27).
The winner of the PBC Tournament will earn the conference's automatic berth for the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Tournament.
