Khalil Green has been named the Zaxbys Player of the Week.
Green, a sophomore guard from Macon, Georgia, averaged 14.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two games last week for the Bobcats. Green was nearly was nearly perfect as GCSU pushed past Flagler College 74-67 last Saturday (Jan. 17).
Green was 7-for-9 from the floor and 9-for-9 from the free throw line as he led the Bobcats with 24 points. Green is currently ranked 30th in the latest NCAA Division II statistics in free throws made (90) and 38th in free throws attempted (112).
GCSU returns to action Wednesday (Jan. 21) with a 5:30 p.m. Peach Belt Conference game against first-place Lander University at the Centennial Center.
