EATONTON, Ga. | The Georgia College & State University men's golf program will host their annual Bobcat Invitational Monday (March 16) and Tuesday (March 17) at the Golf Club at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee.
The 14-team field will play 36 holes Monday on the par 70, 6,730-yard layout that was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw before finishing with 18 holes on the challenging links-style golf course Tuesday.
Eleven of the 11 teams are ranked in the latest National Collegiate Division II Golf Rankings, including six teams inside the top 10. Grand Valley State University is ranked No. 1 followed by the University of West Florida at No. 2 and Lee University at No. 3. The University of Central Oklahoma is ranked sixth followed by Georgia Southwestern State University at No. 7 and Columbus State University at No. 10. Other ranked teams include the University of North Georgia (No. 11), the University of South Carolina-Aiken (No. 22), Rollins College (No. 23), the University of South Carolina-Beaufort (No. 36) and Lander University (No. 37). In addition to GCSU, Mississippi College and Eckerd College round out the tournament field.
North Georgia is the defending champion as they won the 2025 event with a one-over par 841, while West Florida's T.J. Thompson earned medalist honors with a four-under par 206.
