MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University volleyball head coach Abigail King has released the 2026 schedule for the Bobcats.

"I am very excited for our schedule this year," said King. "We kick off with our Bobcat Classic where we will have Southern Wesleyan, Albany State, West Alabama, and Carson Newman joining us this year.  We also have a couple of competitive tournaments scheduled at Mount Olive, Eckerd and Saint Leo.  This will be a great opportunity for us to play great regional competition as well as national competition."

The 2026 campaign features a slate of 33 matches, highlighted by 14 inside the friendly confines of the Centennial Center. The season gets underway Aug. 28 and 29 as GCSU hosts its annual Bobcat Classic presented by Dyer Construction. The Bobcats will welcome Albany State University, Carson-Newman University, Southern Wesleyan University and the University of West Alabama for the two-day, 10-match event. The Bobcats will face West Alabama at 11:30 a.m.  and Southern Wesleyan at 7 p.m. Aug. 28 before hosting Carson-Newman (2 p.m.) and Albany State (7 p.m.) Aug. 29.

The next two weekends find GCSU on the road competing in tournaments. The Bobcats will be in Mount Olive, North Carolina, Sept. 4-5 for the Mount Olive Invitational where they will face University of Mount Olive, Shaw University, Fayettville State University and Coker University. GCSU will take part in the Trition and Lion Invitational Sept. 11-12. The Bobcats will face Eckerd College and Henderson State University Sept. 11 in St. Petersburg, Florida, before treking up I-75 to Saint Leo, Florida, the next day to face Franklin Pierce University and Saint Leo University.

GCSU takes part in a tri-match match with the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and Elizabeth City State University  in Pembroke, North Carolina, Sept. 15 before opening up Peach Belt Conference action.

"Our PBC schedule should be fun for us this year," said King. "We play mainly on the weekends and we do have a couple of competitive home weekends this year with Flagler and Augusta being in our gym on a Friday and Saturday.  I am looking forward to the competitiveness that will be in our conference this year."

The Bobcats open the league schedule on the road with matches against Lander University Spet. 18 before facing co-regular season champion Augusta University the next day. GCSU returns to the Centennial Center to face PBC-foe University of South Carolina-Aiken Sept. 25 before traveling to Macon, Georgia, for a league context against Middle Georgia State University Sept. 29. 

The calendar turns to October where the Bobcats will have seven matches at home, including four of the first five to start the month. GCSU will face PBC co-regular season and tournament champions Flagler College Oct. 3 before hosting Augusta in back-to-back contests Oct. 9-10.  The Bobcats wrap up the homestand with a non-conference tilt against North Greenville University Oct. 13. The lone road trip is an Oct. 6 non-conference date at Shorter University.

GCSU travels to St. Augustine, Florida, Oct. 16-17 for the final PBC regular-season matches against Flagler before they leave the league next summer. The Bobcats return to the Centennial Center to face former PBC-foe Young Harris College Oct. 20 before they step back into league play with  back-to-back home games against Lander Oct. 23-24.  The final Peach Belt road matches for the Bobcats come against USCA Oct. 30-31 and their final road match of the season happens Nov. 5 against Emmanuel (Ga.) University. GCSU wraps up its regular season at home with back-to-back games against Middle Georgia Nov. 6-7.

The conference's No. 1 seed will host the conference's single-elimination tournament Nov. 12-14.  The winner of the tournament will earn the league's automatic qualifier to the NCAA national tournament.
