GCSU selected third in the PBC

AUGUSTA, Ga. | The Peach Belt Conference preseason coaches poll for women's volleyball has been released.
 
Georgia College & State University has been picked to finish third in the league.  The Bobcats were last ranked this high in a PBC preseason poll was 2018 when they were selected to finish in second place.

The Bobcats finished fifth in the league in 2025 and advanced to the semifinals of the PBC Tournament for the first time since they advanced to the title match in 2018.
 
Flagler College, which won the PBC Tournament title  and were co-regular season champions in 2025, was the top pick in the poll as they collected five first-place votes and 25 points, while Augusta University, which were co-championship of the league in 2025, collected a first-place vote and was second with 20 points. GCSU in third place with 15 points, and was followed by the University of South Carolina-Aiken (13), Lander (12), and Middle Georgia State University (5). 
  
GCSU opens the 2026 campaign by welcoming Albany State University, Carson-Newman University, Southern Wesleyan University and the University of West Alabama to the Centennial Center Aug. 28-29 for the 10-match Bobcat Classic presented by Dyer Construction. GCSU will host West Alabama at 11:30 a.m. and Southern Wesleyan at 7 p.m. on the opening day.
