MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Two big innings is all it took for the No. 6 Georgia College Baseball team (10-7) to get their first ranked win of the 2019 season, beating No. 15 University of Southern Indiana (7-4) 13-2 Tuesday at John Kurtz Field.

The Bobcats started with a four-run first and pushed the game out of reach with a six-run fifth.

Seven Bobcat pitchers combined to hold the Screaming Eagle bats in check, with freshman reliever Chris Rolick (Marietta) getting the win on two scoreless innings, fanning three with just one hit to improve to 2-1.

Catcher Austin Holloway (Social Circle) was 3-for-5 with three RBIs to lead the offense. Leftfielder Jay Saunders (Moultrie) was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, while rightfielder Wesley Wommack (Monroe) had two hits and two runs as well.

Centerfielder Cam Hill (Marietta) added two hits and two runs, making the three starting outfielders a combined 6-for-12 with two doubles, six runs and an RBI. Second baseman Cal Gentry (Perry) also tallied two hits and a run.

The Bobcats are back in action Friday, March 8 at 6 p.m., traveling to Francis Marion University.
