Carr, a Massachusetts native, played two seasons for the Bobcatsin 2000 and 2001 after transferring from Massasoit CommunityCollege. Carr was named All-American in both of his seasons atGeorgia College, adding All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) honorstwice and the first PBC Player of the Year trophy in schoolhistory.

He remains the lone Region Player of the Year in school history,earning that honor also in 2001 while leading his squad to the NCAARegional Tournament.

Despite playing only two seasons, Carr finished seventh inschool history in home runs with 32 and hit .395 over his twoyears, good for fourth. Carr still leads Georgia College in careerslugging percentage at a .723 clip, an amazing 34 points ahead offellow Hall of Famer Phil Arp.
