A two-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American, Baitey was named the first Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year in Bobcat softball history in 2006. She helped power the 2006 GCSU softball team to the NCAA Division II Softball National Championship, earning a spot on the all-tournament team in the process.
A one-woman offensive juggernaut, Baitey came to Georgia College after two seasons at Santa Fe Community College. For her two years with the Bobcats, she finished with a .406 batting average, 24 home runs, 10 triples, 111 RBI and a massive .725 slugging percentage. Her batting average and home run totals remain second in school history, while that slugging percentage effort is a school record. Despite playing just the two seasons, she also ranks in the school’s career top-10 in RBI, runs, triples, and total bases. The 2007 GCSU Senior Female Athlete of the Year, Baitey also owns the school records for single season home runs (15), RBI (67), total bases (136) and slugging (.786).
